Smith Street Mall, Darwin

Smith Street is the main pedestrian mall in the heart of the city.  Lighting played in important role in the revitalisation of this precinct.  Sensitive articulation of the structures and landscaping, a conscious avoidance of traditional ‘street lights’, a few theatrical gestures and integrated lighting of the artworks all combine to create this unique city streetscape.
